Welcome! I’m Laasya Kanagala,
Born in Hyderabad and raised across various vibrant regions of India, my upbringing taught me early on how to adapt, connect, and thrive in new environments.
My path in science started in high school with the BPC stream (Biology, Physics, Chemistry) under the CBSE curriculum. Continuing that journey internationally, I am currently studying at the University of British Columbia (UBC) in Vancouver, pursuing a B.Sc. in Applied Biology with a major in Applied Animal Biology.
Currently, I’m navigating life living independently in Vancouver while balancing upper-year degree coursework, pre-med prep, and tackling the MCAT. This blog is my digital journal, a space where I document the real, unfiltered process of working toward medical school, from study strategies and academic insights to the growth that comes with living on my own across the globe.
My Vision: I aspire to become a compassionate, skilled physician dedicated to advancing healthcare accessibility and making a meaningful impact in underserved communities.
